FAQ

2D-to-3D, STEP export, parametric edits, and traceable build history—short answers to the big questions.

What is a build?

A build is one conversion run that turns your input into a parametric CAD result with traceable build history.

What’s the difference between a Project and a Build?

A Project is the workspace; a Build is a single run inside that project. Builds can be compared or rolled back.

Can I edit / refine the result?

Yes. The output is a parametric model you can edit and refine in your CAD workflow.

Do failed runs consume builds?

If a run fails to produce a usable result, it does not count against your builds.

Is ORYND a black box?

No. You get a clean parametric model with a traceable build history, not a locked mesh.

What inputs are supported (drawing, sketch, photo, text)?

You can start from drawings, sketches, photos, or text prompts—single or combined inputs.

2D drawing to 3D model - how does it work?

We interpret 2D-to-3D geometry into prismatic parts and generate parametric features you can edit.

What formats do you support?

Paid plans include STEP export plus other exports. The demo has limited export options during the demo.

Can I export to SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Inventor / FreeCAD / Onshape?

Yes, via STEP export for most CAD tools that support STEP import.

Does it work with hand-drawn sketches / photos?

Yes, hand-drawn sketches and photos are supported as inputs.

What parts are supported in Stage 1 vs Stage 2?

Stage 1 focuses on prismatic parts and reliable geometry. Stage 2 expands complexity and coverage.

What is “Vibe Engineering”?

It means moving faster by expressing intent and letting the system handle repetitive modeling.

Who owns the output?

You own your output and can use it for real engineering and CNC workflows.

Is my data private?

Your data is private and not used to train on your proprietary designs.

Do you store my uploads? Can I delete them?

We store uploads to provide the service, and you can request deletion.

Why is there a queue / waitlist during beta?

We limit access to keep outputs reliable while we scale infrastructure.

How do Founders seats work?

Founders seats are limited early-access plans with special pricing and priority onboarding.

What should I include to get the best result?

Clear views, dimensions, and constraints help produce the best parametric CAD output.

What if the result is wrong?

You can refine the input or request a new build. Failed runs don’t consume builds.

Can I use ORYND for real engineering / CNC?

Yes. The goal is production-ready parametric models suitable for manufacturing workflows.

Will Free expand in Stage 2?

Stage 2 may expand Free to 1 build/day or 3 builds/month.
